A message on behalf of South East Simon Community
2013 was a challenging year for the organisation and for the Service Users. In order to meet the demand of those in need of our services, we have developed new projects and amended our policies to reflect the changing face of homelessness.
In 2013 we received funding from South Tipperary County Council to provide Tenancy Sustainment Supports, and from the Health Service Executive in relation to providing Aftercare supports to young person’s leaving the care of the State.
We received grant aid funding from Simon Communities of Ireland, ESB Electric Ireland, Sisters of Mercy, HSE National Lottery, Hilton in the Community Foundation, Waterford Area Partnership, Google AdWords, The Community Foundation for Ireland and Waterford City Council.
In 2013 we successfully renovated one of our blocks of apartments thanks to sponsorship of both ESB Electric Ireland and Rotary Club Waterford. We continue to increase the quality and number of services we provide, in response to increased demand, to people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
We retained funds from 2013 to deliver on our strategy to develop a new project in 2014 to support people most vulnerable in our community, and to further upgrade our independent living units.
If there is anything else that I can assist you with please do not hesitate to contact me. For more information please see our independently audited annual accounts, by MK Brazil.
Thank you all for your support.
